Events and Networking Coordinator, Marketing, Admissions & Communications

Job summary

Responsible for planning and delivering the school’s self-initiated parent- and community-facing events, with the ultimate aim of raising awareness and improving perception of the school among existing and prospective students, families, partners and other stakeholders.

This role involves:

1 Ensures the school’s own parent- and community-facing events are planned and delivered successfully, delivering attendees the best possible experience and contributing to the local visibility, credibility, consistency and positioning of the LifePlus school.
2 Uses events and networking opportunities to marry strategic school objectives with customer-oriented experiences that ultimately deliver value for both.
3 Reports to the MAC Manager.
4 Collaborates day-to-day with the school MAC team, as well as staff from other departments
5 Handles all administrative and logistical tasks related to successful event delivery
6 Informs, manages and tracks event timelines and finances to deliver every event on time and on budget.
7 Working with the MAC Manager, helps to represent LifePlus among the local community and networks with external stakeholders as appropriate—both on- and off-campus.

Qualifications and requirements

1. Has a strong understanding of, and passion for LifePlus’s vision, mission and strategy.
2. Earned a Bachelor degree in a related field
3. One or more years of experience in a similar event planning/coordination role
4. Familiarity with (customer) experience mapping approaches, processes and tools would be highly advantageous.
5. Budget-management skills and proficiency.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, plus a basic understanding of written and spoken [national language].
7. Calm under pressure, with sound project management, briefing, multi-tasking and decision-making skills.
8. Demonstrable level of precision, diligence and attention to detail.
9. Willingness and ability to occasionally work outside of typical school operating dates / hours.
10. Demonstrates a strong level of self-initiative and creativity, with a natural desire to acquire (and share) skills, knowledge and experience.
11. Comfortable leading, collaborating with and dealing with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
